ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Alicia Neckles is native to Trinidad; she prefers to be called "Inkin." At age 17 she moved to Canada and lived there 9.5 years in both Hamilton and Toronto, Ontario. This book is inspiration comes from memories with her niece and nephews in Canada. Inkin moved to Atlanta Georgia in 2005. She loves to dabble with art. Her artistic creativity flows with nature; freestyle drawings with acrylic paints, learning new recipes, and always interested in trying new craft ideas. Inkin likes going on vacations traveling around the United States and other Caribbean Island destinations. Her bucket list includes Europe and Africa.

ABOUT THE BOOKS 

This book is fictional, it describes a 4-year-old Southern boy whose name is Tey. Tey mother takes him to Atlanta Piedmont Park for the first time, Tey not only plays with his toys, but he also experiences the diversity in the park of interacting in public with others. Tey is oblivious of the crowded park, his excitement outweighs being coy, Tey does seem to mind the noise and park activities, he is happy to have his toys. Tey communicates through play initially with his mother Natalie direction and he later discovers that he is sharing his toys with another child he meets for the first time in the park. This book through fictional characters guides children to learn how to share, control excitement and patience, asking for help, accomplish goals with cooperation, and learning how to be cordial and friendly with other children.
